A snake we saw at the snake park...it's poisonous but I forget its name

Our Second Visit to Mt. Meru Hospital

We found a kitten at Mt. Meru hospital! He helped us fix things all day. His name is Tangawizi (ginger)

We fixed a scale! And later I fixed a blood pressure cuff/pump. All with Tangawizi's help

Whoops found another kitten! I must be a cat magnet. The other cat's name is Dora because she was a nosy littler explorer with all the equipment around today

Tangaru Market

The class took a field trip to the local market for our Swahili haggling lesson. Oriane and I bought all these mboga (vegetables) and matunda (fruit) for 11200 Shillings. Equivalent to $5.70! Amazing.

More Home Life

Power outages are frequent, when they happen we do homework by Kerosine lamp

Oriane and I made salad with LOTS of avocado! So fresh

Making coconut (nazi) shavings the Tanzanian way. I'm sitting on a stool with a sharp attachment specially made for coconut shaving. With these we made coconut milk and used it for our cooked beans!
